Since the biggest question I get about them is How do I make one? I wanted to share some of my grids with you in this and upcoming posts, breaking them down layer by layer so you see how you can start building your own. The grid above is one I currently have on my altar, and it has been working for me for about the last month. I call it my "Blessings Through New Directions" grid, and it's unusual in that it's a departure from the standard circular grid. Let's move through it piece by piece.
Center - In the middle of my grid I have a large quartz point to direct the energy of the grid. I also have a large moss agate power stone to ensure that the energy I'm building in these "new directions" is connected to my soul purpose and has the potential to gather momentum and last and grow from here.
Outside - I have only one outer "ring" to this grid. In it, I employ red jasper, picture jasper, pyrite, and green aventurine. Each of these was directed to me by my guides and is aligned with the direction it faces (in my home, not on the image!). In addition, I have quartz stones to connect and amplify the others.
In this grid, I am employing the diamond, a four-sided shape associated with stability, security, and abundance.
2 - partnership and attraction
3 - fruit bearing and success
4 - stability and foundation
I've set my grid over a prosperity prayer printed on parchment beneath the middle stones.
There is no wrong way to build a grid. You can build yours using colors, images, words, shapes, and even other items such as plants or candles. The important thing is that the intention and associations hold meaning and power for you. This is according to your medicine, as in the Native American tradition. The sky is the limit! So dig up your stones, get inspired, and put your crystals to work for you!
