What do I mean by that?
Because of their perfect atomic structure, they arrange themselves in sacred geometric patterns which are dictated by numbers—number of sides, degree of angles, specific frequency in hertz, etc, and so on.
Both crystals and numbers are what I call “languages of vibration”.
Numerology is the mystical, esoteric side of our normally pragmatic numbers. In numerology, specific meanings are determined within each of the numbers 1 through 9, as well as some of their combinations, and these can be applied in a dizzying array of ways to give us more understanding and insight into ourselves and our lives.
One of the most common applications would the personal year number. Everyone is believed to move through nine-year cycles. Each year, your personal year number provides insight into some of what you can expect to encounter within the course of that year. Knowing your personal year number allows you to bring more allowance and understanding, and less resistance, to your experiences.
For example, I am currently in a “seven” year. This means I can expect expansion on the spiritual front in big ways. Through reflection and renewal of my faith, I’ll make powerful strides this year toward interior growth which will feed into next year’s cycle of harvest and outward growth.
Calculating your personal year number is easy. Simply add the number of your birth month to the number of your birth day. If either of these is a double digit, condense it to a single digit first by adding them together. Now add the numbers of the current year (2016) or any year you want to look at until you arrive at a single-digit number. Add that number to the number you got when adding your birth month and date. Add until you have a single-digit number and that is your personal year.
Here's a graphic to make it simpler:
YEAR 1: In a “one” year, your cycle has just begun anew. So, “new” is the key word for this year. It’s a great time to capitalize on new beginnings, new opportunities, and new experiences. You may find yourself literally starting over in some significant way this year. In addition, initiative, focus, and a renewed sense of determination and drive are likely to come into play. This is a great year to set goals, sow seeds, and chart a course for success in years to come.
Some good stones to work with in a “one” year are … clear quartz, fluorite, selenite, green aventurine, and peridot.
YEAR 2: In a “two” year relationships and pacing step to the forefront. It’s a great year for focusing on existing relationships, creating business partnerships, and even for deepening your self-awareness. A two year takes things at its own pace, and you may find that frustrating at times. Cooperation is crucial to navigating this year smoothly. Put your focus on acquiring what you need to get ahead in coming years. Lay groundwork and exercise patience.
Some good stones to work with in a “two” year are … rose quartz, moss agate, blue calcite, Botswana agate, and pyrite.
YEAR 3: “Three” years are all about fun and expansion. These are exciting years where social engagements take over the calendar and life feels full and bright. Take up hobbies, travel, and cut loose. Gratitude is an important theme, as are romance and self-expression. The tendency toward impulsiveness should be tempered with some common sense to keep fourth-year hangovers to a minimum.
Some good stones to work with in a “three” year are … citrine, orange calcite, picture jasper, crazy lace agate, and Dalmatian jasper.
YEAR 4: A “four” year likes to get down to brass tacks. No room for the frivolity of the previous year, duty calls! To-do lists reign supreme and progress may seem minimal, but an important foundation for future success is being laid. Health and the body are important this year, and finances are likely to stabilize—though money will be on your mind. The home also plays a role, and discarding what no longer serves makes room for focused growth.
Some good stones to work with in a “four” year are … hematite, red jasper, black tourmaline, bronzite, and bloodstone.
YEAR 5: In a “five” year, change is the name of the game. This year is about busting through glass ceilings and personal limitations. Time to break the mold! “Five” years bring surprises and often move at a rapid clip. Be flexible and you’ll find the current carries you in fabulous new directions. Resistance is a fatal mistake this year. In the infamous words of Mel Gibson in Braveheart, “Freeeeeeeeeddddooooooommmm!”
Some good stones to work with in a “five” year are … malacholla, brecciated jasper, aquamarine, amazonite, and carnelian.
YEAR 6: Breathe a sigh of relief if you find yourself in a “six” year. Time for a little me time. Self-nurture and tend to home and hearth. Family may need you now and domestic issues will arise. Responsibility is big this year, don’t fight it. Give where you can and making meeting your own needs a top priority. Draw close to your domestic center—your intimate network of family and friends—and recharge.
Some good stones to work with in a “six” year are … pink opal, charoite, seraphinite, howlite, and lepidolite.
YEAR 7: The year of reflection, “seven” years bring introspection and conscious evolution to your cycle. This is where the condensed lessons of the previous six years can truly be acknowledged and processed. “Seven” years are about enlightenment. Expect to wake up this year to understandings and perspectives previously unavailable to you. While things may look quiet on the surface, shift is underway. Education is a theme this year, as is soul purpose.
Some good stones to work with in a “seven” year are … amethyst, moldavite, phenacite, lapis lazuli, and tanzanite.
YEAR 8: “Eight” years are all about harvest as the hard work of the previous seven years comes to bear in big ways this year. Manifestation is a theme, as is being in the spotlight. Leadership is spontaneous and life gets busy as you are in high demand. Business excels, money really might grow on trees, and recognition abounds. Soak it in, you earned it! Don’t hold back this year, you’re on fire.
Some good stones to work with in an “eight” year are … malachite, tiger eye, ruby, topaz, and Herkimer diamond.
YEAR 9: The “nine” year is a year of completion and endings. Time to tidy up loose ends, put old issues to bed, and wipe the slate clean for the next cycle. Release what no longer serves and give where, when, and how you can. Nature calls, and it’s a great year to camp or garden in order to ground and regroup. Reflect but don’t dwell. Go easy on yourself as you move through letting go.
Some good stones to work with in a “nine” year are … ametrine, rhyolite, stromatolite, rhodonite, and polychrome jasper.
